About Us

On this page we will describe our background and philosophy.

Our Mission

We aim to provide a pleasant, well cared for environment which will provide relaxed holidays for discerning couples.
The grass is kept short and the hook - ups are available on both sides of the site to provide spacious pitches for our Members.
We have a new shower room (10p meter) and a toilet with hand washing facility for the convenience of Members.

THE SHOWER AND TOILET ARE UNHEATED AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM 31ST OCTOBER TO 31ST MARCH
We are Caravanners ourselves - we have our 25 years as a Member sticker!

Our History

Tony & I have lived at Park View since 1988 and each year we have tried to add improvements to the CL.
We are have now added a further Hard Standing - that will make 4 in all.  We have a steady stream of Winter visitors and Motor Caravans needing a flat pitch.
We always mow around the field next to the site to make an excellent recreation area for visiting dogs, in fact well behaved dogs are always welcome and greeted by our black Labrador Holly.
We charge £8 per night for two adults( £54 for a week), which includes electric hook-up and awning. Tents are not permitted.
(There is a charge for additional adults and for an additional car, although Motor Caravans may have a car with them and there is no charge.)

This season, 2009, we have had a deplorable number of 'no shows' - something that has never happened before!  If you are a new Member of the Caravan Club please remember that CL's only have 5 pitches and it is totally unacceptable to fail to arrive with no explanation.  It is particularly galling for us, when we have refused pitches to old friends because we are fully booked only to find that in the main season we have several vacant pitches!
In addition to offering quality services for Members we are also Dance teachers.  We run dances in the Village Hall at Quintrell Downs to which Members who enjoy these dance forms are cordially invited:
Mondays:  Western Line Dancing, Beginners and Improvers.
                  7pm - 8pm Beginners, 8pm - 9.30pm Intermediate.
                  £2.00 for the evening.
Thursdays:  Modern Sequence Dancing
                   7.30pm - 10.00pm.  £2.00
Saturdays:  Modern Sequence Dancing
                   7.30pm - 10.00pm.   £2.00
Sundays:  Ballroom and Latin American Dancing with limited easy Sequence
7.00pm to 9.30pm £2.50              Private lessons available at Park View.
We (Tony & Margaret) are fully qualified in all the branches we teach and have been qualified since 1976.
